How To Add Spouse On Family Tree

If yous are starting your family tree from scratch the empty screen can await a flake daunting. Your screen volition look a picayune different than mine because I accept customized the colors. (Legacy will default to the "Family" tab unless you lot change it in the Options carte).

Y'all take different ways to add a person into Legacy. The first way is to merely "Click to add a Person."

Y'all can also use the "Add" Toolbar. If you are adding your first person you volition add either a husband or a wife.  If yous selected gender-neutral diction in the Options menu this will be Left Spouse and Right Spouse.

If you prefer using keyboard shortcuts, yous can utilize A+H to add a husband and A+W to add together a wife.

Whichever method you chose, you will then encounter the Individual'southward Data screen. This is where yous will exercise your data entry.

Now yous tin can outset entering the information you know about the person.

Click Save and now you are dorsum where you started.
